1) Click Tools à Rules Wizard (or Rules & Alerts). |

2) Click the New (or New Rule) button. |
| |
3) Under Step 1: Select when messages should be checked, select Check messages when they arrive. |
Click Next.

4) For Step 1: Select condition(s), select with specific words in the subject. |

Under Step 2: Edit the rule description (click an underlined value), click on the link specific words. |

For Specify words or phrases to search for in the subject:, type SPAM and click Add. |
Click OK and then click Next.

5) For Step 1: Select action(s), select the move it to the specified folder option. |
| |
(Delete from server option is not available in Microsoft Outlook). |

For Step 2: Edit the rule description (click an underlined value), click on the link specified. |

From the list that appears, select one of the existing folders or click New
to create a new folder. |
Click OK and then click Next.

6) Click Next again for the Are there any exceptions screen. |
| |
7) Under Step 1: specify a name for this rule, give a meaningful name for the newly created rule (Ex: SPAM Filter). |
Make sure Turn on this rule is selected and click Finish.

8) Click Apply then click OK. |
The new message rule will run automatically each time you check mail.
