APPLICATION - Eudora


Please note:
Setting-up of message filters is supported in Eudora 4.3 and higher versions and Eudora PRO only.
If you are a user of Eudora Light, Please upgrade the software.

In Eudora, click on Tools à Filters.

1.  Click New (Refer Fig 1 ).

2.  Select Incoming.

3.  For Header , click the down arrow and select Subject: .

4.  Enter “SPAM” (Without the quotes) as the setting for contains .

5.  Leave the rest of the fields in the Match area unchanged.

6.  In the Action area,

 

a)  To Transfer the Mails to a SPAM Folder

 i.) Select Transfer To and then click on the adjoining button to select a mailbox for transferring SPAM mails. You can select New to create a new mailbox.

 
 

ii.) All messages marked as SPAM will be transferred to the mailbox you specify; where it won't interfere with your regular mails. You can go through them leisurely and delete them once you are sure the mails are in fact, SPAM.

b) To Delete Mails Straight From the Server

 i.) Select Server Options and then select Delete .

This will delete all messages marked as SPAM directly from the Eureka servers. The messages will never be downloaded to your computer.

Warning: Do this only if you're absolutely sure that no valid emails are getting marked as SPAM. Remember, deletions from the server are permanent. No trace what-so-ever will be left of the deleted message.


7. Select Skip Rest.

Close the Filters window. Click Yes when prompted to save the changes.

 
 

* The new message filter will run automatically each time you check mail.
