DXR
100
The DXR 100 is a point-to-point
digital microwave radio employing a unique combination of leading-edge
technologies which minimize through-life costs and maximize service quality
.
With 16 QAM modulation, DXR 100 has a spectral efficiency of 3.3 bps/Hz,
at least double that of competing QPSK products. Increased spectral efficiency
reduces spectrum fees and simplifies frequency planning.
The DQPSK version provides increased system gain. Reed-Solomon forward
error correction and interleaving techniques virtually eliminate residual
bit errors and ignition interference. FEC increases system gain by approximately
4 dB, improving path performance with smaller antennas and reduced power
consumption.
The 16-tap transversal equalizer counteracts multi-path interference,
resulting in a robust and stable link. MHSB, space and frequency diversity
options provide errorless receive-path switching in the event of system
fault or radio path fading.
DXR 100 provides low cost of ownership through superior reliability, easy
installation and simple maintenance. Available in 19- inch-horizontal
or 120milimeter-vertical options, the DXR 100 is easily accommodated in
existing rack systems. The radios small size reduces the need for valuable
rack space. Cables connect to the front panel providing fast access at
all times.
An MTBF of 20 years minimizes maintenance costs and interruptions to service.
The DXR 100 has been designed to operate in non-air-conditioned shelters
under harsh climatic conditions. The cast aluminium frame provides a reliable,
rugged housing. RF circuits are contained in milled chambers to meet EMC/EMI
performance in line with ETS 300 385.
The DXR 100 is particularly suited to applications where long distance
or difficult terrain present a problem. Digital signal processing and
robust physical construction improve spectrum efficiency and reliability,
reducing through-life costs. A comprehensive network management system
provides full control and monitoring of all components in a DXR network.

DXR 700
The DXR
700 platform is a point-to-point digital microwave radio designed
to satisfy network operator demand for flexibility, performance and
growth in transmission capacities. DXR 700 offers standard features
such as spectrally efficient QAM modulation, adaptive equalization and
error correction for exceptional long-distance performance at a competitive
price.
Reed-Solomon forward error correction, combined with interleaving, extends
the performance of the receiver providing fiber-like transmission quality
improving interference immunity. The 20-tap transversal adaptive equalizer
greatly reduces the effect of multipath fading, giving DXR 700 an excellent
dispersive fade margin. Provided as standard, these features are essential
for reliable, long-distance linking.
DXR 700 provides low cost of ownership through superior reliability,
ease of installation and simple maintenance. The split indoor-outdoor
(IDU/ODU) configuration eliminates the high cost of waveguide and associated
dehydrator equipment. System gain is maximized by mounting the ODU next
to the antenna.
DXRnet configuration and management software provides local/remote setup
and performance monitoring. An optional engineering orderwire simplifies
installation and maintenance.
DXRnet management software, combined with the optional services management
adapter, enables adjustment and monitoring of all network elements from
a central site.
Comprehensive alarm I/O and data service channel capability enables
simple integration into existing transmission networks.
The DXR 700 combines the latest in high performance digital microwave
technology. With its long distance capability, combined with a range
of PDH capacities, the DXR 700 is an ideal transmission solution for
private, public or cellular networks.
